1969 Dodge Coronet description

I am listing this car for sale for my father. This is a very rare 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 6 passenger station wagon with a H code 383 4 bbl engine. It is an all numbers matching car including the engine and 727 torqueflite transmission. The car does have a fender tag, but we have never checked for a broadcast sheet. The car is an original B5 blue exterior with a B7 interior. It does have power steering, No A/C, manual 4 wheel 11 inch drum brakes and it also came from the factory with a 3:23 sure grip rear end. Whoever ordered this car obviously wanted a Super Bee station wagon in a great color. Other options are fender mounted turn signals, am radio and full roof rack. We bought this car 2 years ago from the west coast, apparently this car spent most of its life in Washington state. Because it was not a midwest car, it is fairly solid for a car of its age. The main areas that need some attention are some spots on the lower 1/4 panels, a pinhole in the spare tire well and the upper cowl has a few spots under the trim. The side trim missing in the pictures has since been replaced. The car was not in running condition when we aquired it as it had been sitting since the 1990's,but a good amount of time was invested into it to make it a reliable driver quality car with the right amount of patina. The engine was checked for compression, which turned out good. We then went through the fuel system, dropped the tank and had it flushed, refurbished the sending unit, cleared the lines, installed a new pump, filter and a new 650 Edelbrock carb. Igintion system was gone through with a reman points distributor, new MSD coil, wires and plugs. Cooling system was gone through with a new water pump, thermostat, hoses and new aluminum radiator with shroud. Heater core checked out fine and does work. The front end was checked and received new lower ball joints, sway bar end links, bushings and lubed. Brakes were entirely gone through with new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, shoes and hardware. all 4 drums were turned and new bearings and seal installed too. The wheels and tires were upgraded to 15 x 6.5 steel wheels with very nice used dodge redline dog dish hubcaps. Tires are radials with good tread. The inside of the car is in great shape now. We completely re-padded and re-covered the front seat, the rear seat is original and in good shape. The carpet is new, door panels are nice originals, dash pad is nice, all instruments work including the am radio, the headliner could use some attention, but is intact.

We have had a lot of fun in this car and have used it for 2 years of enjoyable driving. It has attended the Mopar Nationals in Colombus, OH 2 years in a row where it has been photographed countless times by people in the know. We drove it there and back from Detroit, MI with no issues. Even in the rain with the wipers going and the defroster keeping the windshield clear. I wouldnt hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Production on this car is reportedly somewhere around 1 of 140 I have been told. Rarer than some of the rarestmuscle cars. Best of both worlds in this wagon, muscle car grunt and room for the family or whatever.

Please contact Steve with any questions on this rare mopar muscle wagon. (734)775-0738. The car is for sale locally as well, so this auction can be ended at any time. Potential 68-70 Mopar B body trades considered.
