1966 Dodge Coronet description
Super straight body with slick black paint. All original floor and trunk pans. Newer weather stripping on doors and trunk along with window felts. The undercarriage has been stripped down to bare metal and POR-15 was applied. Interior was updated 10 years ago including seat covers, carpet and door panels. The seats were re-stuffed within the last 3 years. The rebuilt 440 ci motor is equipped with steel crank and new 906 heads and a Mopar Performance 292-509 CAM and lifter kit. Oil pressure is perfect and the oversized radiator with fan shroud keeps the motor below 190 degrees at all times even in traffic. Edelbrok high rise intake with newly updated fuel injection kit from FAST and topping that off with a K&N airfilter. Custom headers. Heating core has been replaced about 2 years ago. All major seals and gaskets have been replaced along with all fluids. Link is below for the fuel injection kit.
The alternator, belt, hoses, shocks, spark plugs and leads have all been replaced. All of the front head lights and interior dash lights have just been replaced. Replaced the dash circuit board too. The 355 Sure Grip rear end was rebuilt along with new drive shaft. Steering gear box has been rebuilt along with a full alignment and all ball joints and bushings have been replaced and bearings repacked. All 4 drum brakes were just replaced in July 2016. The 727 torque flight 3 speed transmission was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. Shifts great!
Original vinyl roof and headliner in good shape.
This car was born in Detroit but lived in FL for 40 years and then spent 2 years in Chicago then the last 8 in Los Angeles. The car has been garage kept for the last 10 years since its restoration.
This car sounds AMAZING and will put you back in your seat. The fuel injection kit makes it like a modern car and it runs better than it ever has. The video is from a cold start.
