1941 Chevrolet Other description

My wife saw an ad for this forlorn creature a few years back and bought it hoping we'd be able to restore it. She has always wanted a "round fendered" car. It's time to sell the house with the big lot, we haven't gotten around to this project, and never will honestly. It has been "customized" once before, badly. It does have pretty solid bones, floors look solid. Rear of front fenders have some bondo-repaired rust that would be easy to fix properly as it's mostly straight panel area at the bottom. Rear deck lid has been 'leaded' using bondo again (last owner must have loved bondo!) so can't tell you much about that area. Interior is mostly non-existent, Chevy pickup or Suburban seats (1980's?) were bolted to a piece of plywood screwed to an angle iron frame. (Really safe, eh?) The removal of them was as far as I got with the interior project. Frame and engine appear to be from a 1972 Caprice, so it's a low horsepower (engine ID # 12J20322T012-CKP) the ID translates to a 170BHP Small block V8 with 2BBL Carburetor, Turbo 350 transmission built in the Tonawanda plant. Having grown up working on those cars, the translation looks right to me. Previous owner was unclear as to pedigree of chassis. There is a body ID tag on the firewall, but the Arizona Dept of Motor Vehicles was not able to find a VIN, so they created a VIN and attached it to the rear of the drivers door pillar. We also had the engine running briefly, there's an aluminum radiator that was sitting on an old radiator hose and wired in place that I removed and put inside the car. We can assist with loading of the car for shipment or even deliver it within a short drive of Phoenix metro area. We already sold the 1Ton Dually pickup, so towing it on the car trailer any distance with a 1500 series Suburban is out of the question. Call 602)920-3367 with questions or for more details.
