1979 Chevy Cheyenne 4x4
C/K 10 Stepside SNB
158K Original Miles
Bid to win, but please bid only if you can afford to pay within 3 days of auction's end. This is a genuine 158k original mile one-owner survivor in nice original running & driving condition. I am willing to end the auction early for the right offer and prompt payment. I reserve the right to end early as I have the vehicle advertised locally as well. Call Tim at 360-936-9257 with any questions.
1979 Chevrolet C/K 10 Cheyenne half-ton short narrow bed (step side) 4x4 wearing an older repaint in original and unusual code 65 Light Camel color; this was a good-quality paint job and still shines nicely... kind of a light bronze/tan metallic. The body is very straight with no dents to mention, and only minor beginnings of rust beginning to present in the expected stepside locations (close-up pictures to show exact areas). No rust holes anywhere I can find. Original small sport mirrors, original wheels; a very original unmolested truck. The paint has just been polished and shines well; although please don't mistake that for a perfect finish!Pictures were taken from about 12 feet away, so you can get an idea of how it really looks, which is nice.Solid floors, original carpet failing on the passenger side (has floor mats so not obvious), beautiful new original-style high end professional seat upholstery, interior cleaned and detailed. Sagging headliner, cracks on dash pad. Dual fuel tanks;I have not used the second fuel tank; it is unmolested but may require a cleaning and servicing. Missing the wiper switch knob, gauge lens is a little foggy. Factory tachometer. The wood in the bed is all there and looks fine, but not as-new.
Good glass throughout, windows roll up and down properly. Truck starts right up, factory electric choke works as it should, kicks down when warm. Good power steering, and power brakes. The entire truck seems sound; you may want to service the systems before considering it your daily driver, but I have no reason to believe you couldn't hop in and go across the country.
This is a well-optioned truck including 3.73 ratio locking differential axles, heavy-duty springs, tow package, 350 4v engine, 4 wheel drive, tilt steering, tinted glass, dual tanks, tachometer, chrome front and rear bumpers, rally wheels, and more. SPID build sheet present and clear in glove box (pictured).
This was a one-owner vehicle, purchased new in 1978 in Portland, Oregon, and used sparingly since then. It spent its' entire life in and around Portland.
Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for inspection and export.I have included an image of the glove box SPID option list; I also have a mostly complete build sheet from under the seat.
While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 38-year-old classic, and therefore being sold exactly as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied.
Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction's end via deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer.
Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times... ultimately the choice must be yours alone.
