1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne description
This is a 1974, 2 wheel drive,3/4 ton, Chevy Cheyenne. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS TRUCK, IT WILL SELL IN 5 DAYS. AND NEED TO BE GONE IN 7 DAYS.
This is a 2 wheel drive vehicle with dually wheels in the rear. 3+3 means that you can seat 3 peoplein front and rear not that it is a 4 x 4. We have actually seated 8 reasonably comfortable
This isobviously a heart break of a mans life.My parents are ill. Ihave to relocateto Florida. I am closing mymovingbusiness. This custom truck took me 4 years to get it to where it is now. The build list is too long to state everything.
THE TRUCK WAS DESIGNED AND CONCIEVED TO BE THE ULTIMATE WORK / PLAY TRUCK THE FRONT BUMPER IS WELDED ON WITH I BEAMS TO THE FRAME. IT IS A TANK. THE BUMPER ALONE WITH WINCH WAS $2000 AND ANOTHER $700 FOR THE CUSTOM BRACKETS AND WELDING JOB. Its nick name was "THE WAR MACHINE"
AS YOU CAN SEE, ENOUGH LIGHTS SOYOU CAN HAVE DAYTIME, AT NIGHT TIME. THERE ARE LIGHT BARS AND THE AUXILIARY LIGHTING BOTH FRONT AND REAR. WE RUN A MOVING COMPANY SO THE TRUCK WAS USED ON NIGHT JOBS TO CERATE LIGHT SAFTEY AND SECURITY. THE WINCH IS STRONG ENOUGH TO PULL 3500 LBS SAFES UP AN INCLINE. NAME OF OUR COMPANY IS SAFE MOVERS.
Highlights: 454 BIG BLOCKengine MY ESTIMATE IS THAT IT IS CLOSE TO 500HP. Edelbrock RPM manifold, Headers, brand new Edelbrock 600CFM carb with manual choke. I had the electric choke one did not Like it because the truck runs so cool that it thinks it is still in warm up mode.YOU CAN TOW A HOUSE WITH THIS TRUCK. WE HAVE A HYDRALIC TRAILER THAT ALONE WEIGHED 7000 LBS AND YOU DONT EVEN FEEL IT ON THE BACK WITH A 5000LB SAFE. YOU CAN SEE THE COMMERCIAL HITCH ON THE REAR.
YOU WANT MORE POWER GO TO A 750cfm CARB. I WANTED BOTH POWER AND REASONABLE GAS MILEAGE, RUNS REASONABLE QUITE. IF YOU WANT MORE POWER PUT OF FLOW MASTERS. FOR ME THE STEALTH IS WHAT I WANTED. POWER FUNCTIONALITY VINTAGE STYLE.
I HAVE NOT SEEN ANOTHER ONE LIKE MINE ON THE STREET PERIOD. ALL THE CREW CABS FROM THIS ERA ARE RUSTED OUT AND IN HORRIBLE SHAPE JUNKERS.
Over $2000 invested in stereo alone. ARC EQ, Pioneer3 WAY SPEAKERSin each FRONTkick panel and then the overkill of additional 4 JBL 6 X9 SPEAKERS in the doors.2 in the front 2 IN THE REAR to help accentuate 3 waysurround imaging.ALL AMPS MOUNTED FORUNDER FRONT SEATVERY NICE WIRING.
YOU WONT BELIEVE THE SOUND. COMPARED IT TO MY $10,000 CUSTOM TRUCK AND IT IS VERY CLOSE MATCH JUST BECASUE OF THE CAVERN 3 + 3 CAB SIZE. THE SPACEOFFERS MORE SURFACE AREA TO BOUCE THE SOUND OFF VS. MY NON CREW CAB TRUCK.
Truck runsgreat!! Truck hasgood tires BRAKESwheels STEEERING ETC, ETC.
Dual FUEL tanks IY THEM TOGETHERwithperformance fuel pump.
Truck drives great and stops just as well. Pre smog long bed chevys are getting hard to find. Front Seat has been recovered rear seat can use a re-cover. Bed is super solid and dry. LOOK AT THE PHOTO FOR HOW THE FRONT BUMPER IS MOUNTED. THE WINCH IS FULLY OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONAL TRAILER BRAKE SET UP SHOWN IN PHOTO.
CUSTOM FLARES, DIAMOND PLATE SIDE BOARDS, COWL HOOD. KEYS TO SIDE TOOL BOX FOR LOCKING.
WHAT DOES IT NEED: MY NEXT STEPS WERE THE FOLLOWING:
1) I WAS GOING TO INSTALL AIR HORNS. CURRENTLY THE STOK HORN IS PRESENT NOT HOOKED UP.
2) I WAS GOING TO SEPERATE THE FUEL TANKS WITH SEPERATE PUMPS SO THAT I COULD CHOOSE WHICH TANK TO USE
3) THE TRUCK HAS AN AXULIALRY START BUTTON THE BLACK ONE ON THE CONTROL PANEL SO YOU CAN START EITHER FROM THE KEY OR THE BUTTON ONCE THE IGNITION IS IN THE ON POSITON.
4) WAS IN THE PROCESS OF REWIRING THE DASH WHEN WE HAD TO STOP THE PROJECT SO NEED HEATER BLOWER AND WIPERS RECONNECTED.
5) HAS A CRACKED WINDSHIELD :< PRICE IT OUT ALREADY LOCALLY HERE IT IS $150-175 TO REPLACE. NO BIG DEAL.
JUST TRYING TO BE UPFRONT. THIS WAS MY BABY, MY WORK VEHICLE, I ENJOYED IT EVERY MIN. PEOPLE LOVE THIS TRUCK. SURE NEW TRUCKS ARE COOL. BUT $70-100,000 FOR A NEW TRUCK TO ME IS JUST NOT THE WAY TO GO. BUT THATS ME.
